Womyn Take Back the Night
Friday, May 5th at 6 pm at the Buford Watson (Train) Park
All are welcome to come together for a night to discuss and protest violence against womyn, while celebrating strength and demanding a safer, non-violent community at this annual event, on Friday, May 5th at 6 pm at the Buford Watson (Train) Park located on the 600 block between Tennessee and Kentucky streets.
- Beginning at 6 pm, we will have community organization booths and displays giving information about the services they provide to the community.
- We will have performances by local artists starting at 6:30 pm at the Gazebo.
- At 8:00 pm we will have speak out circles/vigils, where people can have a space to share personal feelings and experiences regarding violence against women in a safe and supportive community.
